Building Immunity, Promoting Wellness

At Four Legs Animal Hospital, we believe preventative care is the foundation of a long, healthy life. Our wellness programs and vaccination protocols are tailored to your pet’s age, breed, lifestyle, and risk factors — ensuring they receive exactly the protection they need at every stage of life.

Your Pet’s Best Life Starts Here

Comprehensive preventative care is essential to keeping your pet happy and healthy today while helping them enjoy as many good years with you as possible. Wellness exams allow us to get to know your pet, establish a baseline for their health, and detect any changes early — before they become bigger problems. Even if your pet seems perfectly healthy, regular checkups are one of the best things you can do for their long-term well-being.

We recommend annual wellness exams for adult dogs and cats, and twice-yearly visits for senior pets. As pets age, diseases and illnesses can progress more rapidly, so more frequent exams help us stay ahead and keep your pet feeling their best. Depending on your pet’s age and health, routine bloodwork and other diagnostics may also be recommended as part of their wellness plan.

Keeping your pet up to date on vaccinations is one of the most effective and affordable ways to protect them from dangerous infectious diseases. Core vaccines — including Rabies, DA2PPV for dogs, and FVRCP for cats — are recommended for all pets. Based on your pet’s lifestyle and exposure risk, we may also recommend additional vaccines such as Bordetella, canine influenza, or leptospirosis. Even pets who live primarily indoors can be exposed to harmful pathogens, so staying current on vaccinations is important for every pet.

Your Four Legs veterinarian will work with you to build a customized wellness and vaccination plan based on your pet’s individual needs. To schedule a wellness exam or vaccination appointment, call us today at (410) 798-5222.
